Follow one patient
through the whole system
The clearest way to understand Tabibu is to walk the corridor with a patient. Here is Mary's Tuesday morning — six departments, ninety minutes, zero paper.
01 · Front desk · 08:12
Registration
Mary arrives with chest pain. The desk finds her by SHA number — her record from a visit two years ago opens with allergies and history intact. She's in the OPD queue in under a minute.
02 · Triage · 08:19
Vitals & priority
A nurse takes BP 148/94, pulse 92. Tabibu scores the vitals, flags her urgent, and moves her up the queue. The clinician sees the flag before she reaches the door.
03 · Consult room 4 · 08:31
Consultation
The doctor documents with ICD-11 codes suggested as she types, orders an ECG and troponin, and prescribes against live pharmacy stock. No paper leaves the room.
04 · Laboratory · 08:47
Lab & results
The lab sees the order with clinical context. Results post back to Mary's chart flagged against reference ranges — the doctor is notified the moment they land.
05 · Pharmacy · 09:26
Dispensing
Pharmacy dispenses against the e-prescription, scanning each pack. Batch and expiry are recorded; stock levels update in real time.
06 · Cashier · 09:34
Billing & claim
Her invoice built itself along the way. The SHA-covered portion compiles into a claim automatically; she pays the balance by M-Pesa and is out by 09:40.
The point
Nobody re-entered Mary's details. Nobody carried her file. Every department worked from the same record — and the invoice, the claim and the clinical note all agree, because they are the same data.
Live in three months
Switching hospital systems is a change-management project, not a software install. A structured rollout puts the Tabibu team on site from server setup to department go-live.
Month 1
Setup & configuration
On-site server installation. Departments, services and fee schedules are configured on the platform — not a separate development project — then patient records migrate from paper registers, Excel or an old system.
Month 2
Training & onboarding
Staff training by role — front desk, clinicians, lab, pharmacy and billing — on your own devices and network, using your own data.
Month 3
Go-live & support
Department-by-department go-live with the Tabibu team on site, then ongoing support as part of the service.
